Construction will commence on a 6,000 sf plaza overlooking Lake Grapevine this week, according to officials with Realty Capital, master developer of Lakeside DFW.
Located at the southern tip of the Lakeside Boardwalk (click here for a map), the plaza will offer visitors views of Lake Grapevine.
“The plaza will extend approximately 80 feet toward the lake from the boardwalk,” explained Rebecca Everitt, a development associate with Realty Capital. [See the full story]
“We’re creating a resort spa for Lakeside Tower,” said Luane McWhorter, co-owner of The Spa at Lakeside Tower, “where residents of the Tower and the public can relax and put the focus on themselves for a few hours.”
The spa will offer a range of services, including massages, facials, body treatments, waxing, manicures, and pedicures.
“We had been looking to open a luxury facility in Flower Mound or Southlake,” said McWhorter, “when we learned of this opportunity.
“The Tower offers a luxurious setting by the lake,” she said, “and we are planning a facility that will complement its elegance and amenities.”
“Most buyers at The Lakeside Tower are downsizing from estate homes,” explained Allison Hayden, the Briggs Freeman/Sotheby’s broker selling the Tower. “They haven’t lived in a luxury condominium tower before so they aren’t aware of how the expenses differ between the two.”
One clear difference: A single-family estate home has a larger number of expense items. Living in a luxury condominium tower, homeowners’ association (HOA) dues cover many of these costs.
